Green Schools Week
27th Feb 2026
We've had a fantastic Green Schools Week here at the school. Our green team have recorded the methods that our children come to school every day. They are encouraging our students to car pool where possible to decrease our impact on the environment.
On Thursday 26th February, we held a 'Day of Action' in the school to align with our theme for this year - Travel. We were delighted to welcome Sarah Hegarty into the school to demonstrate how to travel safely using scooters or bicycles.
Junior Infants to Second Class were given a lesson on how to ride scooters safely. Third and Fourth Class brought their bikes to school and were shown how to move around an obstacle course safely and also how to use the correct signals when riding on the road. Fifth and Sixth Class were shown how to repair a bicycle.
We would like to thank Sarah for coming into the school and wish her well with her new job. Check out the photos to see how we got on!
